St. John the Evangelist, Buttershaw

 

The Catholic Church of St. John the Evangelist is situated on Cooper Lane in Buttershaw. It was established as a new parish of Buttershaw  in 1954 – formerly this area was part of St. Winefride’s Wibsey Parish. The church was opened in 1956. The Parishes of St Winefride’s and St John’s were merged in 2009 to become the Catholic Parish of Mary, Mother of God. Any records will be with the church
